Greg

Founder / Roastmaster

Founding Windrose in 2012 in Al Buraimi, Greg’s passion for coffee grew out of a love for Yemen and a desire to serve the coffee community in Oman and beyond. With more than a decade of roasting experience, spanning hundred of coffee lots and over ten thousand individual roasts, his attention to detail can be found in each cup of Windrose coffee.

Robynn

Captain

At Windrose, Robynn is affectionally known as “the Captain.” In 2017, she purchased a beached dhow and used its wood to create the centerpiece of the Windrose Cafe, its bar top. Her eye for design and heart for our staff creates an atmosphere of “home” in a space where peace and community organically flourish.

Andrew

Quality Control / Education

Andrew has extensive experience in farm-level quality control as well as natural coffee processing from years spent with the coffee people of Yemen. He leads the Windrose Team in green coffee selection, quality control and recipe development. He is a licensed Q Grader and has been roasting coffee since 2009.

Omar

Wholesale Relationship Manager

Omar Salman was the first Omani trained as a Specialty Coffee Barista beginning in Saudi Arabia and then Oman. He is an expert advisor for new coffee projects as well as established cafes and restaurants. As the Windrose Wholesale Relationship Manager Omar takes great pleasure in guiding our customers in establishing, updating and maintaining successful coffee programs.

Anthony

Cafe Manager

Anthony coordinates services in the cafe with a smile. He has professional experience in hospitality since 2001 and in café operations since 2008. As the Cafe Manager he ensures your experience at Windrose is perfect every time.

Henry

Roastery Coordinator / Barista

Henry joined Windrose as a barista in 2019. He has since transitioned to working in the roastery full-time as the roastery coordinator, ensuring that our wholesale customers receive their orders accurately and on time!

Geofrey

Barista / Trainer

Geofrey has worked in the Windrose cafe since its opening in 2018. His skills with coffee and people are on show when making drinks at the Windrose bar or during his work as a trainer in the Windrose lab.

Benjamin

Barista / Trainer

Benjamin has been a barista since 2015, joining the Windrose team in 2021. His knowledge and experience with coffee are highlighted in his work at the Windrose bar and make him an integral part of the Windrose training program.

Edwine

Barista / Roastery Assistant

Edwine joined the Windrose team in 2021 as a barista. He now splits time between the cafe and roastery, using his skills to serve our retail and wholesale customers.

David

Barista

David has been a barista since 2018, joining the Windrose team in 2022. He works to provide you with an exceptional experience in the Windrose cafe and does it with a smile!
